Puget Sound Ski for Light is your local chapter of an international organization which provides a pleasurable winter experience for cross-country ski instruction and guidance to visually and mobility impaired individuals. The group meets at the Sons of Norway Trollhaugen Recreation Area near Stampede Pass every other Saturday through the winter.

Saturday, November 7, 2026, 5 PM – 6:30 PM: Odin Lodge 2-41 in Yakima, WA, is having its 44th Annual Lutefisk & Meatball Dinner & Bake Sale Fundraiser. It will be at West Valley Church, 72nd Ave. and Nob Hill Blvd., Yakima, WA. The festive Norwegian dinner includes lutefisk, meatballs, boiled potatoes, coleslaw, lefse and traditional desserts such as cream pudding, berry sauce and cookies. The Bake Sale will include Scandinavian cookies, breads, rolls, almond cakes, lefse, jams, horseradish and Scandinavian calendars. There will also be a quilt raffle and the sale of Scandinavian Folded Star Ornaments. The tickets for the dinner will be for sale at Inklings Bookshop, 5629 Summitview Ave. in Yakima. The ticket price is $30, cash or check only. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Sunday, November 8, 2026, 4 seatings at 12 Noon, 2PM, 4PM, and 6PM: Grieg Lodge 2-015, Sons of Norway, cooked-to-perfection lutefisk, includes meatballs and gravy, potatoes, coleslaw, cranberry relish, riskrem with raspberry sauce, and — of course — lefse. Members $50, non-members $75, youth (10 and under) $20. Our Scandinavian Sale and Bucket Raffle will be in the Ballroom. Our Landhandel gift shop will be open and stocked with wonderful Scandinavian items. Proceeds from the sale of those items benefit our Grieg Lodge Scholarship Fund. Hearty lutefisk and lefse dinner with those tasty meatballs, too. Features top quality lutefisk made fresh in Poulsbo, Washington, as well as gourmet meatballs— hand-rolled here at Viking Hall by our Master Meatball Chefs! Complete with our legendary Sons of Norway potato lefse, freshly rolled and baked just for this event!
